​  2016 Spring Banquet​

      Our Spring Banquet was held at the Conicville Fire Hall in Conicville, Virginia on  Saturday April 02, 2016. 

      As had been done in the past, an auction was held.  In addition, we had more than  enough door prizes for everyone who attended.  The food was delicious, the service was  terrific and the facility was really nice.  Doors opened at 17:00 hours, (5:00 PM) and the food  was served at 18:00 hours (6:00 PM).

     After dinner was done, it was time for awards.  After the completion of the Awards  Ceremony, the rest of the night was spent alternating between pulling the numbers for door  prizes and bidding on auction items.  The 50-50 was drawn with the winner taking home   around $75.00.  The evening was completed with the viewing of a slide show presented  by Mark Tanis about farming in the 40s and 50s on farms owned and operated by his  relatives  in Northern New Jersey.

     Below is a slide show of the evening.  Unfortunately, our camera started to run out of  power part way through the evening and it "threw a hissy fit", consequently some of the  pictures did not turn out as sharp as I would have liked.
